![]() ![]() They are not worth another playthrough if you are otherwise ready to put the game down, but they will make a future second run feel a dash distinct from your first. Picking a favorite character and making a point of getting them in your top three is probably the most enjoyable way to go about it. I remembered him as a sad gruff man the whole time, and Regal is one of my favorites!Īll of the dialouges barring Colette's (which I recall is more about Lloyd and Kratos than anything) flesh out character beats that might seem otherwise underdeveloped, though Kratos's and Zelos's take special mention for the former's having a little more backstory to give while the latter is the only time the character really opens up. Less forgetting the broader story and more the context I chose Regal as Lloyd's partner for my first PC run and found I had completely forgotten how mild Crispin Freeman could get in the role. The beach episode (a woman in Altamira will be looking for her children) gives Lloyd, a character of your choice, and your current top two their beach clothes, and as Baslam points out the post-Gamecube versions give you a mini-event and a new costume for whoever you pick. You can have Lloyd deny the first two or three characters that come to his room at Flanoir, so you have some choice there I have never heard of the game outright giving you someone. The fortune-teller in Triet tells you where Lloyd stands with each character, and the person Lloyd speaks with on Dirk's balcony after you tango with Forcystus is your top character at that moment, but you are not locked in at that point. Colette actually starts with something like 500 affection points versus everyone else's zero, so you are free to shoot down Colette at every turn if you think you have to. So affection is affected mostly by how Lloyd answers questions (and you thought they were just flavor!), finding the bonus skit circles on the World Map (these are the heavy-duty boosts), and apparently cooking the person in question's favorite foods, I've never bothered with that. Well first off, get ready to rumble! Now to rip away the mystique with no spoilers! Keep this as spoiler free as possible please, I haven't finished the game yet (currently have to go to the tower of salvation for the third time). So am I missing much if it was Colette who I got for the Flanoir scene? Should I go NGing for all the outcomes or just watch them on youtube?Īlso, I keep reading you get to choose out of the top 3 for the Flanoir scene but I got forced into Colette. I don't know if they're actual endings or if they just change some events/explore other characters further, but I wouldn't want to miss on anything. Are there any more with any of the other characters? The question is: how many endings are there?Īs far as I know there's an ending with Colette (the default I presume) one with Kratos and one with Zelos. I also heard that defines the ending you get (I knew absolutely nothing about this). So I just did the Flanoir scene with Colette (as I suppose most people did in their first playthrough) and only now found out about the affection system.įrom what I gather, depending on who is highest in affection, you'll have the conversation with (and many other events throughout the game) him/her.
